Janvi Jindal Becomes Youngest Indian Girl with 5 Guinness World Records in Skating

Chandigarh, India –Janvi Jindal, a 17-year-old girl from Chandigarh, has made headlines by securing five Guinness World Records in freestyle skating, officially confirmed in July 2025. With no professional coach to guide her, Janvi trained under the mentorship of her father, who learned coaching techniques by watching YouTube tutorials.

Her records include:

  • 27 inline 360-degree spins in 30 seconds

  • Fastest slalom over 20 cones on two wheels in 8.85 seconds

  • 42 one-wheeled 360-degree spins in 30 seconds

  • 72 spins in one minute

  • 22 consecutive one-wheeled 360-degree spins

Janvi’s journey began out of curiosity, watching skating videos online. With limited resources and no access to a coach in Chandigarh, her father Munish Jindal stepped in. Despite having no skating experience himself, he spent nights studying online guides to help train his daughter.

"From the very beginning, I knew I wanted to do something that made me feel alive," Janvi told ANI. "There’s no freestyle skating coach in Chandigarh, so my father became one by learning online."

The training was tough but rewarding. Her achievements have also been recognized by the India Book of Records. Among her unique feats are performing Bhangra on skates, skating down stairs, and completing high-altitude spins at Khardung La Pass.

Munish Jindal said, “It took nearly a year to get the first Guinness recognition due to their strict rules. Her first attempt was rejected over a technicality. Competing internationally is costly, so Guinness World Records became our platform to shine globally.”

Janvi is now applying for the Bal Puraskar and dreams of inspiring more girls to chase their passion — with or without a coach.
