This marks a significant milestone in the global cricket administration, with Shah set to assume this prestigious role on December 1, 2024. At just 35 years old, Shah will become the youngest Chair in ICC history, underscoring his rapid rise in the world of cricket governance. His election comes at a crucial time as cricket prepares for its inclusion in the LA 2028 Olympics, a move Shah sees as pivotal for the sport’s global expansion. With broad support from ICC members and a clear vision for the future, Shah is poised to lead cricket into a new era of growth, innovation, and international collaboration.
