JMM-Congress Finalize Seat Sharing for Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024, CM Hemant Soren Confident of Alliance's Victory  

The INDIA alliance partners JMM and Congress have finalized their seat-sharing arrangement for the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024. Out of 81 seats, JMM and Congress will contest 70 seats, while the remaining seats will be contested by RJD, CPI(ML), and other allies. However, Chief Minister Hemant Soren has not yet revealed how many seats each party will contest. In the presence of Congress Jharkhand in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir, the announcement was made, although representatives of RJD and left-wing parties were absent. Voting will take place in two phases, on November 13 and 20, with results to be declared on November 23.

As Jharkhand gears up for the Assembly Elections 2024, JMM and Congress have agreed to contest 70 seats together under the INDIA alliance, leaving the remaining seats for RJD and CPI(ML). Discussions with ally parties are ongoing, with seat allocation details to be finalized soon. The election will be held in two phases, with voting scheduled for November 13 and 20. CM Hemant Soren expressed confidence in his government’s work for the people of Jharkhand and claimed a return to power. The NDA has also finalized its seat-sharing, with BJP contesting 68 seats, AJSU 10, JDU 2, and LJP (Ram Vilas) 1.
