Kanpur News Today: Bus Overturns in Panki Area, Multiple Injuries Reported
A bus from Kunal Tourist Bus Service overturned near Bhatiya Tirahe, Panki, Kanpur, on December 5, 2024, injuring around 30 passengers. The victims were rushed to nearby hospitals, including Raja Ram, Mahavir, and CHC Hospitals. Authorities are investigating the cause, with no fatalities reported.
A road mishap occurred on Bhatiya Tirahe near Panki Kanpur when a Bus from the Kunal Tourist Bus Service lost control and tumbled. The bus carrying approx 30 passengers, left Rama Palace Panki Mandir for Coal Nagar Ramadevi. This took place just before the Bhatiya Tirahe railway bridge leaving a large number of passengers injured. Initially, PRVs 0683 and 0414 from the police provided quick rescue and medical aids.

The injured passengers were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment. Four were admitted to Raja Ram Hospital, Panki; seven to Mahavir Hospital, Panki; and six to CHC Hospital, Kalyanpur. People from different areas of Kanpur and the neighboring regions were injured, with varying degrees of injury.
The cause of the accident is currently under investigation, but initial reports state that the vehicle lost control and went into the ocean possibly due to mechanical failure or human error. The medical team and local authorities are closely observing the victims.
