Kanpur, April 1, 2025: Known for her bold actions, Kanpur Mayor Pramila Pandey once again made headlines as she took to the streets to lead an anti-encroachment campaign across key areas of the city. Accompanied by a full contingent of Kanpur Nagar Nigam officials and workers, the mayor organized a vehicle rally to issue a final ultimatum to encroachers.

The campaign targeted those who, despite prior warnings, continued to occupy footpaths, drains, and public spaces, disrupting cleanliness and public mobility. The rally began from Sadbhavna Chowki and passed through Nayi Sadak, Shakkar Patti, Nayaganj, and Generalganj, finally concluding at Birhana Road.

During the march, Mayor Pandey urged shopkeepers and residents to voluntarily remove encroachments to avoid forced action by the municipal authorities. She emphasized that removing obstacles from footpaths and drains is crucial not just for sanitation but also for smooth public movement.

The rally witnessed the active participation of several senior officials, including: Amit Gupta, Councillor of Generalganj,Sudhir Kumar, Municipal Commissioner,Jagdish Yadav, Additional Commissioner, Nanak Chandra (Executive Engineer, Zone-1),R.K. The mayor's firm stance on public space encroachment is part of a larger plan to enhance city cleanliness and ensure better civic conditions.
