The Kedarnath Temple portals were opened Monday at 5 am. Last year on November 15, the temple was closed after COVID-19.

The official handle of Uttarakhand Press Information Bureau shared the news. It says that the portals were opened but pilgrims were not allowed due to the pandemic.

Also, in view of the pandemic, the yatra was temporarily suspended and that everyone can perform rituals from their home.

Uttarakhand CM Tirath Singh Rawat also tweeted the same. Morover, summers from April to June are considered the best time to visit Kedarnath temple.

These are the best months to visit Badrinath temple. Since Gangotri and Yamunotri are at a higher altitude, hence summer starts a little later there.

But since last year pilgrimage and other activities have been badly hit due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
