Kerala Double Murder: Man Kills Neighbor and His Mother Over Black Magic Suspicion

A chilling double murder case has surfaced from Nenmara in Palakkad district of Kerala, in which 55-year-old Sudhakaran and his 75-year-old mother Lakshmi were stabbed to death inside their house. Chenthamara, their neighbour, had murdered Sudhakaran's wife in 2019 and is the accused this time as well.
According to police officials, Chenthamara had suspected that Sudhakaran's family had some sort of practice with black magic, leading to his wife leaving him. He was filled with vengeance and is accused of committing the heinous crime.
Murderer Was Out on Bail for a Previous Killing
Chenthamara was arrested in 2019 for allegedly killing Sudhakaran's wife, Sajitha. He was in jail for some time and was then granted bail. He returned home to Nenmara.
Local residents and Sudhakaran's daughters, Akhila and Athulya, had reportedly warned the police about Chenthamara being a threat to their family. However, their concerns were ignored.
Daughters Devastated After Losing Both Parents
The two daughters were shocked and grieving since both parents lost their lives in the hands of the same man within a five-year gap. "He killed our mother in 2019 and went to jail. Now, he has murdered our father and grandmother. If he is jailed again, he will be released and kill more people," said the devastated daughters while demanding a death penalty for Chenthamara.
Police arrest Chenthamara; He confesses to the murders
After a 36-hour manhunt, police finally tracked down and arrested Chenthamara. Chenthamara confessed to the brutal killings, stating that he thought that Sudhakaran was planning to attack him in retribution for his wife's murder.
During questioning, he admitted that he feared Sudhakaran and his mother would retaliate, prompting him to kill them first.
Charged With Murder Remarried, Victim's Second Wife and Daughters Survived
According to reports, Chenthamara was in the view of the opinion that his wife was abandoned due to the black magic of Sudhakaran's family. Hence, in the year 2019, he attacked and killed the wife of Sudhakaran. After murdering his wife, Sudhakaran married again and his second wife and daughters went out and missed the violence time.
