Lakhimpur Kheri: FIR registered against Ajay Mishra and his son

Samyukta Kisan Morcha which is the umbrella body of 40 protesting farmers, claimed that one of the three farmers was shot dead by Union Minister Ajay Mishra Teni’s son, Ashish (Monu) Mishra.

Others have also been allegedly run over by vehicles in Lakhimpur Kheri. Ajay Mishra Sunday said that his son was not present at the spot.

As per the minister, the incident happened when some BJP workers were going to receive UP Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya. He had come there to attend an event at Lakhimpur Kheri.

The minister also said that his car got turtle and two people died coming under it. So far, eight persons have died in the Lakhimpur incident.

Also, two SUVs were set on fire by the protesting farmers after they hit a group of protesters.

The farmers had assembled there to protest against Maurya’s visit to Banbirpur. It is the native village of Union Minister of State for Home and MP Ajay Kumar Mishra.

UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath called the incident unfortunate and said that the state government will go into depth and expose elements involved in the incident and will take strict action against them.

Several farmers will stage a protest at the district collectorate and in every district across the country.

After the incident, a panchayat was called by Naresh Tikait, national president of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU), in Sisauli of Muzaffarnagar late-night.

And it was decided that a demonstration will be staged at the district collectorate on Monday.
