Lawrence Bishnoi: Anmol Bishnoi Arrested in California, Extradition Underway

Mumbai Police has apprehended Anmol Bishnoi, a key member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, in California. Known for his criminal activities across multiple states, Anmol had been on the most-wanted list following the Salman Khan shooting case. Indian intelligence and American agencies collaborated to secure his arrest, and he is set to be extradited to India soon.

Lawrence Bishnoi: Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, was arrested in California for the firing incident outside actor Salman Khan's residence. According to sources, Anmol who was on the most-wanted list of the Mumbai Police after the incident, was caught with the help of the American authorities.

Anmol was listed in the non-bailable warrant list of the MCOCA court and wanted by Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, and Mumbai police forces. Decapitation murder of former MLA Baba Siddique in Mumbai led to increased crackdown upon Lawrence Bishnoi gang, after which Anmol was arrested. Recently, the Mumbai Police went ahead and approached the US authorities for his arrest. The extradition process to send Anmol back to India has now started, and he is likely to be back in his own country soon.

An accused in more than 18 crimes, which comprise cases of assault and arms violations across several states, Bhanu is the nickname for Anmol in the gang. He allegedly first committed a crime in Abohar, Punjab, in 2012, reports say. The NIA is also probing two cases lodged against him and it speaks of the very prominent position an individual like him held in the country's organized crime.
