Delhi Police Arrests Shooter: The Outer North Special Staff of Delhi Police has arrested Ankit alias Sawan, a shooter associated with Lawrence Bishnoi’s alliance gang led by Jitendra Gogi. Ankit was apprehended in Alipur with a sophisticated country-made pistol in his possession.
Planned Revenge Killing Foiled
Ankit was reportedly planning a murder to avenge the killing of gangster Amit Lakra in Delhi’s Mundka area on November 9. Amit was killed by shooters from Lawrence Bishnoi’s rival gang, the Bambhia Alliance of Tillu Tajpuriya. However, before Ankit could execute his plan, Delhi Police intercepted him based on a tip-off.
Criminal Background of the Shooter
Multiple cases, including murder and extortion, are registered against Ankit in Delhi and Haryana.
His arrest is a huge breakthrough in the curbing of gang-related violence in the region.
