Maha Kumbh 2025: PM Modi to Establish Kumbh Kalash at Prayagraj's Triveni Sangam- What's Special?

Maha Kumbh 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will come to Prayagraj on December 13, 2024, and inaugurate the preparations for the world's largest spiritual gathering- Maha Kumbh 2025. During the visit, the PM will perform the Triveni Puja and greet the saints and seers. The main attraction of the ceremony will be the instalment of a jewel-encrusted Kumbh Kalash at the Holy Triveni Sangam.
This special Kumbh Kalash made of ashtadhatu, that is, a sacred alloy of eight metals, will be garnished with pearls and will house mango leaves, coconut, soil from the pilgrimage sites, holy Ganga water, and other sacred things like panchratna, durva, turmeric, and betel nut, signifying spiritual and cultural richness.
PM's Vision for a Prosperous India
The ceremony would comprise prayer for a developed and prosperous India. CM Yogi Adityanath would be giving the Kumbh Kalash to PM Modi. Rituals would be performed, where he would chant Vedic mantras with seven selected priests. They would also offer coconut, saffron, vermilion, and holy water.
Developmental Push of $7,000 Crore
Besides the installation of Kalash, PM will unveil development projects worth Rs 7,000 crore intended to improve the infrastructure and facilitation for this grand event.

The ancient Maha Kumbh Mela dates from January 13 to 26 February, 2025, is expected to have millions of followers across the globe visiting Prayagraj, sacred city.
