It will begin on Paush Purnima on January 13, 2025, and conclude on Mahashivratri on February 26, 2025. Mahakumbh Mela is spiritually important as millions of devotees dip into holy rivers to cleanse their sins from earth.

The Mahakumbh Mela rolls around the four holy places of India namely Prayagraj, Haridwar, Nashik and Ujjain according to certain planetary positions. In this case, the fair will occur at Prayagraj when the planet Jupiter is at Taurus and Sun enters Capricorn.
