Of these 288 seats in the assembly, 234 fall under the general category, 29 Scheduled Castes, and 25 Scheduled Tribes. With a voter population of 9.63 crore eligible voters for this election, as put up by the Election Commission of India (ECI), Maharashtra still remains a huge electorate.
The voting will be held at 1,00,186 polling stations across 52,789 locations. Among them, 530 are model polling stations, 388 women-managed polling stations, and 299 polling stations managed by persons with disabilities.
