Chief Minister N Biren Singh, of Manipur, apologizes to the state people with folded hands regarding the continued violence starting on May 3, 2023. Describing it as "unfortunate," the Chief Minister expressed sorrow at the death toll and how so many families had lost their homes along with immense unrest throughout the state.

Violence Update

Casualties: 200 people have been killed.

FIRs and Arrests: 12,247 FIRs have been lodged, and 625 suspects have been arrested.

Arms and Ammunition Recovered: The authorities have recovered about 5,600 weapons (including explosives) and nearly 35,000 rounds of ammunition.

Centre's Support: The central government has sent additional security personnel and funds to rebuild homes for the displaced families.

As for CM Biren Singh, apology with a pledge of stability sets an example so that the present as well as the future inhabitants of Manipur could come ahead with unity.
