A memorandum was submitted to Hon'ble Ramesh Awasthi regarding the non-celebration of Holi due to the non-payment of OTA (Overtime Allowance) to retirees. It was also highlighted that retirees in hospitals were facing severe hardships, even dying from hunger, due to non-payment after their retirement.
Upon receiving the memorandum, Hon'ble Ramesh Awasthi assured that the payments to hospital employees and the OTA to retirees would be made immediately, with the OTA payments to be completed by the end of this month. On the basis of his assurance, the decision to not celebrate Holi was called off.
