Banks in India Close for Four Days Straight—Get Ready for a Festive Financial Break!

As the festive spirit of Diwali approaches, banks across India are gearing up for a much-anticipated four-day holiday! From October 31st to November 3rd, financial institutions will be closed, making it the perfect time for everyone to indulge in celebrations without worrying about banking tasks.

The Scoop on Bank Holidays

This year, Diwali falls on a Thursday, starting the holiday festivities with the worship of Goddess Kali and Naraka Chaturdashi. Following that, Friday is reserved for the grand Lakshmi Puja, coinciding with Karnataka Rajyotsava. The holiday spirit continues into the weekend with Bali Padyami and Govardhan Puja on Saturday and, of course, a relaxing Sunday to wrap it all up.

In total, the month of November will see 13 bank holidays nationwide, with 9 days specifically in Karnataka. This includes two Saturdays and four Sundays, giving everyone ample time to enjoy the festivities.
