MP Government Announces LPG Cylinders at ₹450 for Ladli Behna Scheme

Bhopal: In a significant decision, the Madhya Pradesh government has announced that LPG cylinders will be provided to beneficiaries of the Ladli Behna Scheme at a subsidized rate of ₹450. This decision was made during the cabinet meeting on Tuesday, chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. Several major decisions were approved during the meeting, with this subsidy being a notable highlight.

Under the new scheme, Ladli Behna beneficiaries will receive LPG cylinders at ₹450 throughout the year, making it the most affordable cooking gas for these women.

Government Commitment to Welfare Schemes

After the cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav addressed the media, emphasizing the government's commitment to welfare schemes. He stated, "We are not going to discontinue any beneficial schemes. Instead, we will review them to see how they can be improved to benefit the public more."

He further added, "I have instructed all ministers and principal secretaries to review all existing schemes. Any scheme that can further benefit the public should be implemented to ensure that every section of society benefits from government initiatives."

Additional Financial Benefits

In addition to the subsidized LPG cylinders, the cabinet also approved an additional payment of ₹250 to Ladli Behna beneficiaries during the month of Sawan, coinciding with the festival of Raksha Bandhan. This is in addition to the regular monthly payment of ₹1,250 that these beneficiaries receive.

The Madhya Pradesh government's decision to provide LPG cylinders at a subsidized rate and additional financial support during festivals reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting women and ensuring their welfare.
