Shocking Developments in the Mystifying Death of Mumtaz, Brother of Ex-MLA Moyideen Bawa: Mangalore Police Unveils Explosive Details in Suicide Case!

In a case that has gripped Mangalore, the lifeless body of Mumtaz, the brother of former MLA Moyideen Bawa, was discovered after an extensive 28-hour search near the Kulooru bridge. Mangalore City Police Commissioner Anupam Agarwal has now revealed explosive information regarding this tragic incident, leaving the community in shock.

On August 7, officials confirmed that Mumtaz's body was recovered after a grueling search operation. Commissioner Agarwal disclosed, “We received a report alleging blackmail involving a sex video. We’ve enforced a Look Out Circular (LOC) to prevent the accused from fleeing the country. Information surfaced early on August 6 that Mumtaz had jumped into the river. This morning, around 10 a.m., we located his body. His brother has also filed a complaint, claiming they were trapped in a honey trap.”

As part of the investigation, six individuals have been named in a First Information Report (FIR) at the Kavoor police station. The complaint mentions that Mumtaz had been experiencing depression for the past three months and was allegedly blackmailed for money based on the explicit video. “We have formed a team to track down the accused,” Commissioner Agarwal added, noting that Mumtaz had mentioned a person named Sattar in a voice note. The police team is actively searching for a suspect named Rehmat.

Before his unfortunate demise, it’s reported that Mumtaz’s car collided with a bus, and police have taken statements from the bus crew to piece together the events leading up to this tragedy.

Mumtaz Ali, the deceased brother of former Congress MLA Moyideen Bawa and ex-MLC B.M. Farooq, mysteriously disappeared after parking his luxury BMW on the Kulooru bridge on Sunday morning. There were suspicions he may have jumped into the Phalguni River, prompting a search operation involving the Coast Guard, Fire and Rescue Services, and diving experts. Thankfully, the search concluded with the recovery of his body, bringing closure to a baffling situation.

The emotional impact of this tragedy has been profound, with former MLA Moyideen Bawa shedding tears in remembrance of his brother. As the investigation unfolds, the community waits with bated breath for answers in this heart-wrenching case.
