Navjot Kaur Sidhu: accuses former assistant and NRI of Rs 2 crore fraud, probe under way.

Navjot Kaur Sidhu: Amritsar Former cricketer and politician Navjot Singh Sidhu's wife, Dr Navjot Kaur Sidhu, has lodged a complaint against her former personal assistant and an NRI based in the United States for allegedly duping her of over Rs 2 crore. The case pertains to a property deal involving an SCO (Shop-Cum-Office) unit at Ranjit Avenue and is being probed by the EOW of Punjab Police.

Dr. Sidhu stated that Angad Pal Singh, an NRI settled in the US, his relatives, including Mangat Singh and Sukhvinder Singh had hatched the scam and her ex-assistant Gaurav along with his abettor Jagjit Singh were alleged to be one of the main culprits behind the scam.
As per Dr. Sidhu, Angad Pal Singh had approached her with the proposal to sell her property at SCO No. 10, Ranjit Avenue. The two parties entered into a formal agreement. Sushil Rawat was her representative while Vishal Kaur was Angad Pal Singh's representative. Dr. Sidhu transferred a sum of Rs 1.2 crore to Angad's account as part of the booking for the property. She issued several cheques also, which were cashed by her former assistant Gaurav, who reportedly handed the money over to Angad's agent.

Angad Pal Singh reportedly assured Dr. Sidhu that the property would be soon registered in her name. However, when she sought the registration, accused persons started making excuses for not doing so. The same accused persons allegedly made available a temporary Power of Attorney for the property in February 2023 in favour of Dr. Sidhu's daughter.

Now, Dr. Sidhu is saying that the money from the cheques has been distributed among the accused parties. The case has been transferred to the Economic Offenses Wing on her complaint, and further investigation is in process. According to a senior police officer, action will be taken as the findings are revealed.

Dr Sidhu has demanded strict action against the accused and return of her Rs 2 crore. The case is still under investigation, and new developments are expected to emerge in the coming days.
