NEET UG: SC Rejects Plea over Wrong Questions

The Supreme Court has rejected to admit a plea that two questions related to Biology were wrong in the NEET UG 2024 medical entrance exam. The court stated that the NEET UG counseling process has already concluded and admissions are over, and so there is no ground to address the petition at this moment.
SC Dismisses NEET UG Petition on Incorrect Questions
In fact, NEET UG was marred with multiple controversies this year, from paper leakage to errors in the question paper. The students first took the matter to the supreme court with a question whose four options are correct leading to the Supreme Court deciding all the options as the right ones.
In the latest case, a female candidate filed a petition in the Supreme Court stating that two Biology questions in NEET UG 2024 were incorrect. To prove her point, the petitioner produced NCERT textbooks as evidence. Chief Justice dismissed the plea and refused to hear the matter any further.

The court said that since the NEET UG admissions process is already complete, the issues cannot be revisited. The alleged errors in the NEET UG 2024 exam have garnered much attention, as the candidates have been raising questions about the fairness and accuracy of one of India's most competitive medical entrance exams. Though the Supreme Court has dismissed the current petition, such disputes remind one of the importance of transparency and accuracy in high-stakes exams like NEET UG. The decision leaves the candidate with very little to move upon since the admission and counseling processes are already over, and the court has refused further judicial intervention in the case.
