In a big relief to the daily commuters travelling between Delhi, Noida and Haryana, a new six-lane highway has been completed, meaning a comfortable drive for thousands of people. The new stretch that starts after Kalindi Kunj will now provide a shorter route for those travelling towards Haryana from Faridabad. The highway is a part of the larger Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, and the officials tested it successfully on Friday; it will open on November 12, 2024.

More than one lakh commuters from Delhi, Noida and Greater Noida traveling to Faridabad, Palwal and Sohna will benefit with this six-lane highway saving the commuters' precious time and cost. Earlier commuters had to rely on the already congested Mathura Road and also on the Badarpur border that always had a long queues of vehicles. With the new highway, travelers can save up to two hours on their daily journey, reduce both travel time and fuel costs, and probably ease traffic congestion on Mathura Road, notorious for past jams during peak hours.

Apart from the advantages for daily users, the new highway will ease up bottlenecks in traffic and decrease pollution levels. There will be fewer vehicles on the roads. The new highway will make the drivers take a detour from Mathura Road, pass through the Apollo Hospital, and reach Meethapur to join the six-lane highway, which will join Sohna and ultimately proceed on to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, thereby enhancing connectivity while smoothing out traffic flow in this region.
