Nikita Singhania’s Move Falls Flat, Denied Bail: Atul Subhash’s Father Issues Major Statement

The Atul Subhash suicide case took a decisive turn at the Bengaluru Civil Court hearing on Monday. Three accused — Nikita Singhania among them — applied for bail, which the court sent back to January 4. So, all three will have to stay in police custody until then. On the other hand, Atul's father, Pawan Modi, has vowed to present strong evidence to ensure the accused do not get bail.

Bail Hearing Postponed

Accused Seek Bail: The three accused — Nikita, Nisha, and Anurag — appeared in court, but the judge deferred the bail hearing.

Court Appearance: During the session, the accused were brought before the judge in the presence of Atul's mother and brother Vikas.

Child Custody Argument: Nikita’s lawyer requested bail on the grounds that she needs to care for her son, Vyom. However, Atul’s family lawyers argued that she is again using the child as leverage, echoing Atul’s suicide note allegations.

Father’s Determined Stance

Atul's father, Pawan Modi, was satisfied that the bail plea wasn't given at once. "Our lawyers Akash Jindal and Vijay Singh of the local team, along with Chandan Kumar of Bihar who also practices in the Supreme Court, presented a good case against giving bail," he said.

"No matter what they do, we will ensure they don't get bail. We have sufficient evidence ready," Modi said.

Next Court Dates and Legal Actions

Bengaluru Civil Court: Bail hearing is on January 4.

Supreme Court Hearing: On January 7, the Supreme Court will hear a petition on the issue of Atul and Nikita's child custody. The Court has already issued directives to police forces in three states, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar, to investigate the case.

With the hearing deferred, Nikita and the rest of the accused are still detained, while the family of Atul continues protesting for the rights of the child and justice towards Atul's death.
