A spine-chilling murder akin to Shraddha Walkar occurred in New Delhi once more, shocking the entire national capital. The body of Nikki Yadav, 25, was discovered in a freezer on Tuesday at a dhaba outside the village of Mitraon in Najafgarh.
Sahil Gehlot, the deceased woman’s longtime boyfriend, strangled her with a mobile cable and killed her. The entire incident reminds one of the murder of Shraddha, in which boyfriend Aaftab Poonawala strangled, chopped off, and disposed of the victim on May 18, 2022.
Police have detained and are questioning the accused, Sahil Gehlot.
Accused murders girlfriend and weds a different woman
Vikram Singh, an additional deputy commissioner of police in charge of the Crime branch in Dwarka, claims that the victim Nikki Yadav and the accused Sahil Gehlot have been dating since 2018. “They met while attending coaching sessions for competitive exams in Uttam Nagar in Delhi. They had been dating for the past five years, “stated the DCP.
According to the Additional DCP, when the victim learned that the accused was planning to wed another woman, she objected and persuaded him to propose to her instead. Later, the victim’s persistent demands for the accused to marry her infuriated the defendant.
Sahil Gehlot allegedly choked the girl to death in a car near the Kashmere Gate ISBT area of north Delhi, according to police officials. The defendant later took her body to his village near Uttam Nagar and kept it in his dhaba’s refrigerator. Later, on the same day, he wed a different woman.
Father of Nikki calls for execution of Sahil Gehlot
The death penalty for the accused Sahil Gehlot has been demanded by Nikki Yadav’s father Sunil Yadav in addition to justice for his daughter. “On Tuesday morning, I learned of the incident. The accused man ought to be executed by hanging. Her passing was announced to us yesterday. She had gone home for about 1.5 months ago.
Accused’s vehicle taken down
