OEF & HALAT Pensioners’ Dues: Kanpur MP Ramesh Awasthi Steps In for Immediate Action!

Kanpur – A delegation of central and state government pensioners, under the banner of the Pensioners’ Forum, met Kanpur MP Ramesh Awasthi at his residence. The delegation, led by Acting President Rajesh Kumar Shukla and General Secretary Anand Awasthi, submitted a memorandum highlighting the pending overtime allowances for pensioners of OEF and Parachute Factory since 2009.
The representatives informed the MP that while active employees received their overdue overtime allowance, retired employees who worked during the same period were still awaiting their payments. This has led to growing resentment among central pensioners.
In response, MP Ramesh Awasthi assured the delegation that he would personally meet with the Defence Minister and push for necessary action. He also promised to write to the Chief Minister regarding the pending dues of retired employees from HALAT Hospital’s maternity and childcare division. Efforts will be made to ensure the immediate disbursement of pension and payments.
The MP emphasized the importance of pensioners celebrating Holi with joy, stating that their happiness directly impacts younger generations.
The delegation included Rajesh Kumar Shukla, Anand Awasthi, B.L. Gulabiya, Ashok Kumar Mishra, Subhash Bhatia, R.P. Srivastava, A.K. Nigam, Kamal Kumar, Devendra Siddhnath Tiwari, Basant Tiwari, Raj Kapoor, Paramjeet Singh, Amarjeet Singh, D.S. Rathore, and Tara Chand, among others.
