Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal's Email Sparks Controversy: A screenshot of an email from Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO of Ola, has surfaced on social media. The email, according to the screenshot, has Bhavish Aggarwal expressing surprise at the low attendance figures and urging employees not to "loot" the company by not coming to work. He also accused those who were not pulling their weight and said that only "productive" people would stay at the company.

The email contained Aggarwal's concerns about many employees' poor attendance and misuse of the company's Work From Home policy. Aggarwal stated that the company would get stricter on attendance starting Monday and that HR would contact the employees who took advantage of the lax policies.

He further said, "I believe everyone has enough self-respect not to skip work and loot the company," which was insulting to the hardworking employees. He also warned not to question the facial recognition system and asked the employees to come to work, do their jobs, and embrace the Ola mission.

Post by Bhavish Aggarwal in Support of Email

After the email went viral, Bhavish Aggarwal posted on social media, reinforcing his stance that only productive people would remain with the company. His post echoed the sentiments shared in the email, where he stressed that HR would be addressing those not attending the office or performing adequately.

Hints at Possible Layoffs

The message conveyed in Aggarwal's mail and in his social media post points to the direction of preparing for a high number layoff in Ola.
This move indicates that only the individuals who contribute and yield good performances will be allowed, and the rest shall leave the door.
Despite trying various channels of media and approaches in demanding the issue, Ola had not responded officially so far.
