Pakistan-Trained Terror Suspects Linked to JMB, LeT Nabbed in Bengal by STF
Two men from Bengal were caught by the police for being part of dangerous terror groups trained in Pakistan and linked to Bangladesh’s banned group JMB. The police say they were spreading harmful ideas, using secret apps, and trying to get more people to join them.

Kolkata/Birbhum: On Friday morning, two dangerous men were caught by Bengal Police from Birbhum district. These men were said to be trained in Pakistan and were connected to a banned terror group from Bangladesh called Jamatul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB). Police believe they may also have links with another scary group from Pakistan called Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
They were planning something bad and trying to make others join them. That’s why the police quickly stopped them.
Who Are These Men and Why Were They Arrested?
The two men are Ajmol Hossain and Saheb Ali Khan, both 28 years old. One was caught in Nalhati and the other in Murarai. The police said they were using secret apps and messages to share harmful ideas and videos.
“They were trying to make people think like them and plan attacks,” said a senior police officer named Indrajit Basu.
The court has asked the police to keep them in jail for now so they can be questioned more. Since there are tensions between India and Pakistan, this case is being taken very seriously.
Connection to Pakistan and Bangladesh
Police say that Ajmol was the leader of this group. He was trying to go to Bangladesh for some secret plans. They also say he was talking to people in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) who may have trained him.
He was part of this group for a few years. Some officers think he may have had something to do with the recent violence in Murshidabad, too.
What His Family Says
Ajmol’s father, Jarjes Mondal, is a school teacher. He says his son is not a terrorist.
“My son helps villagers when they’re sick. He’s not a bad person,” said the father. “We don’t know why the police took him away.”
But police believe they have enough proof that Ajmol and Saheb were working with bad people.
Now, the police are checking if there are more people in their group. They’re also trying to see if they were planning something big. This is really important because there are already serious issues between India and Pakistan right now.
Police are also keeping an eye on areas near Bangladesh, as that’s where these banned groups often try to enter India.
This arrest is a big step for the police in stopping dangerous people. But they still need to find out how big this group really is and what they were planning.
For now, both Ajmol and Saheb are in jail, and the police are asking them lots of questions.
