A girl from Pakistan has thanked Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for her safe evacuation from a war zone in Ukraine.
Asma Shafique, in a video, has thanked the Indian Embassy and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for helping her escape a “very difficult situation”.
The girl from Pakistan named Asma Shafique is now on her way to western Ukraine. This comes after PM Modi appointed four Indian ministers to oversee the safe evacuation of all Indians from war zone.
Now, Asma will eventually make her way out of the war-torn country.
Asma will be reunited with her family soon, as per ANI.
India began evacuating its nationals under ‘Operation Ganga’. The situation turned bad when Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24.
Russian military has launched hundreds of missile and artillery attacks on cities since then.
Several civilians have been killed so far and more than 1.5 million people have fled Ukraine.
