Pickpocket Stabs Conductor After Caught Stealing in Bhopal City Bus: CCTV Captures the Incident
 

In a shocking incident in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, a pickpocket was caught stealing from a woman's purse on a city bus. The event occurred on the 306 Route, where the pickpocket sat next to the woman and attempted to steal money from her bag. When the woman noticed, she immediately alerted the bus conductor.

Conductor Stabbed After Intervening in Theft

As the conductor tried to apprehend the thief, a scuffle ensued between them. In a desperate move, the pickpocket pulled out a knife and stabbed the conductor before fleeing the scene by jumping off the bus. The injured conductor was rushed to the hospital for medical treatment. The entire incident was captured by the bus’s CCTV cameras.
CCTV Footage and Police Investigation

The police are currently using the CCTV footage to track down the suspect. Despite the theft taking place in broad daylight, the quick response from the conductor and the footage provide key evidence for the investigation. Authorities are hopeful of identifying the pickpocket soon.

This incident in Bhopal comes after a similar one in Gwalior station, where a pickpocket, while being caught, bit off the thumb of a young man as an attempt to escape after stealing his wallet. The pickpocket was later handed over to the Government Railway Police (GRP) by the victim's associates and local bystanders.
