In the wake of the recent attack on the Jammu airbase, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tuesday met NSA Ajit Doval, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The meeting was a briefing on the unprecedented drone attack and the events that followed it.
As per sources, discussions were held on futuristic challenges in the defence sector. And how we can equip our forces with modern weapons and equipment.
Also, youth, start-ups and strategic community remained the other points of discussion. This Sunday, two blasts had taken place at the Air Force base at the Jammu Airport. A building was damaged and two Indian Air Force personnel suffered minor injuries.
Moreover, Jammu and Kashmir police chief Dilbagh Singh said Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba’s hand is suspected in the blasts.
Over the last two years, there were reports from Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir suggesting that Pakistan was using drones to make weapons drop.
