The injustice committed by historians against those who genuinely created history is being corrected in New India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said as he addressed an online event after laying the foundation stone of a Maharaja Suheldev memorial and development work of Chittaura lake on February 18, 2021, in Uttar Pradesh’s Bahraich.
“Injustice done to those who made history by those who twisted history in the name of writing it is being corrected by ‘New India’. The country is getting rid of mistakes,” he said.
History lies in the folklore of India, he added.
Citing the efforts of the government to ensure respect for makers of Indian history, he talked about many notable personalities, including Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Sardar Patel, BR Ambedkar, and Maharaja Suheldev.
Targeting the opposition, the Prime Minister said, “The entire country saw that those who brought laws to bring foreign companies into the Indian agriculture market are today scaring farmers in the name of local companies.”
