India Wednesday celebrates Ram Navami as on April 21, 2021. It is one of the most important festivals for the Hindu community in India and worldwide.
Ram Navami is celebrated on the ninth day of Shukla Paksha of the Chaitra month. This day marks the birth of Lord Ram. He is also said to be the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu.
The auspicious day of Ram Navami falls on the last day of the nine-day Navratri festival.
Devotees celebrate this day by observing a fast. They also dress up kids as Lord Rama. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also wished the nation on this day.
It is widely believed that Lord Rama was born during the middle of the day. Therefore this time is considered the most auspicious one to perform the Ram Navami puja rituals.
This day is also known as Ram Navratri.
