RAIPUR, India (AP) — Police in the central Indian city of Raipur have arrested six suspects in connection with a shooting incident involving a businessman's car. The suspects were apprehended from the states of Haryana and Jharkhand.
Raipur Assistant Superintendent of Police, Lakhn Patle, revealed that Amandeep Valmiki from Haryana is believed to be the mastermind behind the incident. Valmiki is among those arrested. According to police, the suspects had arranged for shooters to deliver a bike and a SIM card.
Two of the suspects have already been brought to Raipur, with efforts underway to bring the others as well. However, the whereabouts of the shooters remain unknown. Raipur police have deployed multiple teams to locate them.
The incident occurred on July 13 at the office of PRA Construction located at Mahavir Chowk on Ring Road, where gunfire was reported.
