Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's Health Takes a Turn; Admitted for Check-Up

CHANDIGARH (Sept. 17) — Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann experienced health issues on Tuesday after returning to Chandigarh from Delhi. Upon his arrival at the Chandigarh airport, Mann lost his balance and sat down briefly before standing up again. Security personnel assisted him into a nearby vehicle.

Following the incident, Mann received intravenous fluids at his residence in Chandigarh. Later that day, he was called back to Delhi for further evaluation and may undergo a check-up at Apollo Hospital.

Details surrounding the deterioration of Mann's health remain unclear, and no official information has been released. Earlier in the day, he had been in Delhi to receive former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal upon his release from Tihar Jail, during which time heavy rain fell in the capital. Photos from the event showed Mann getting soaked in the downpour.

This is not the first time Mann has faced health issues. In 2022, he was hospitalized after drinking water directly from the sacred Kali Bein river in Sultanpur Lodhi, leading to severe abdominal pain two days later. He was subsequently admitted to Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in Delhi.

Mann’s recent health scare has raised concerns among his supporters and the public, highlighting the pressures faced by leaders in demanding roles. Further updates on his condition are anticipated as he continues to receive medical attention.
