Recent Controversies Surrounding Allu Arjun

The attack comes a day after Allu Arjun addressed a press conference regarding a tragic incident at Hyderabad's Sandhya Theater, where a stampede occurred during the Pushpa 2 premiere. Arjun expressed his condolences and refuted allegations of irresponsibility, stating that attempts were being made to tarnish his image with misinformation.

He clarified, "This was an accident, and I deeply sympathize with the affected families. There was no roadshow, and rumors about my reaction to the tragedy are false." Arjun also took to social media, urging fans to refrain from using offensive language, online or offline.

Political Remarks Sparked Tension

The controversy escalated when Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi criticized Arjun in the state assembly. Revanth Reddy claimed that the actor had remained callous during the theater incident and said, "He did not leave the theater despite knowing the death." He further added that families were splurging money on movie tickets just because they have an adoration for Allu Arjun.

Owaisi echoed similar sentiments, alleging that the actor reacted insensitively to the tragedy, saying, "When informed about a death and children being injured, he smiled and remarked that the movie would now be a hit."

Police Action and Investigation

The police were swift in responding to the event at Arjun's place and detained several people allegedly involved in the act. Investigations are still ongoing to find the motives of the action and further steps to avoid such incidents.
