Rajasthan: Sapotra Police Nabs Cyber Fraudster Involved in Sextortion in Karauli

A cyber fraudster accused of extorting innocent people through sextortion has been arrested by the Sapotra police station. The accused was using social media platforms for obscene chats, video calls, and fake accounts to extort money. The police are currently interrogating the suspect, and Constable Vijay Parashar played a crucial role in the arrest.
According to Sapotra Police Station Officer Anil Kumar, Constable Vijay Parashar, along with officers Yogesh, Naresh, and Mahendra, acted on a tip-off from an informant and reached the Akat Har area. They found a young man chatting and talking on a mobile phone. Upon questioning, he identified himself as Dharmendra, son of Rajhans Meena, a resident of Sankada, under Malarna Dungar police station, district Sawai Madhopur.
The police seized two smartphones from the accused. Upon examination, the smartphones revealed fake WhatsApp and Facebook accounts. The investigation uncovered that the accused used these fake accounts to engage in obscene chats, send explicit messages and videos, and extort money through various means. He also used fake SIM cards and bank accounts in other people's names to deposit the extorted money.

The police have confiscated the two smartphones and arrested the accused. A case has been registered under the Indian Penal Code, and further interrogation is ongoing.
