Rajasthan Horror Crime: Beggar Murdered Over Debt Repayment, Lured with Alcohol, Run Over by Truck for Insurance Claim
Rajasthan Beggar Murder: A shocking case of Rajasthan's Banswara district saw a debt-ridden man orchestrate the murder of a beggar with the sole motive of fraudulently claiming insurance money. Narendra Singh, accused, with his accomplices, had lured the victim Tufan Singh by giving him alcohol and later staged an accident by running him over by a truck.
The incident came into the fore when police found the mutilated body on the National Highway-56 which was tagged with documents as Narendra Singh. The family of Narendra Singh refuted the identification, furthering investigation. During inquiry, two accomplices- Bherulal and truck driver Ibrahim Khan-had been arrested by police, and they confessed committing the crime.
Narendra Singh was heavily indebted and had several insurance policies in his name. He had planned to stage his own death and claim the insurance to repay his loans. The trio had planned to kill a beggar who had no identity documents and planted Narendra's papers near the body to establish it as his own.
The victim, Tufan Singh, was lulled into the job, compelled to drink alcohol, and then laid on the highway. Ibrahim Khan, driver of a cement-laden truck ran over the head of the victim, killing him instantly. He left the scene and flew away leaving behind the manufactured evidence.
Police confirmed the fact that Narendra Singh has promised to pay Rs. 85,000 to Bherulal and Rs. 65,000 to Ibrahim Khan for their involvement in the incident. The main culprit, Narendra Singh, is yet to be arrested. Some of his accomplices who were caught are still kept in the custody.
