Rajshri Entertainment Fire: Massive Blaze at Poonam Chambers in Worli, 10 Fire Engines Deployed
Rajshri Entertainment Fire: A massive fire broke out at the Rajshri Entertainment office, located on the second floor of the Poonam Chambers building in Mumbai’s Worli area, on December 15. The fire department promptly responded with ten fire engines to control the blaze. Initial reports suggest that the fire was caused by a short circuit, though no official confirmation has been provided by the fire department or the police.
The office, which is owned by Rajshri Entertainment Private Limited, which is part of Rajshri Productions, received heavy damage. Some costly equipment such as editing panels, computers, cameras, and studio were destroyed due to fire. No major injury reports have been filed so far. Ambulances have also been kept at the location as the fire-fighting forces are trying to contain the situation.
It became known at about 11:30 a.m., and the fire brigade was immediately called into action. The second floor of the seven-story building is the Rajshri office. Much damage has been caused, and the visual pictures coming from the location of the fire reveal huge loss of property.
Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray went to the site to take stock of the situation. Rajshri Entertainment, led by Neha Barjatya, wife of the late Rajat Barjatya, oversees all core operations, including animation, video content, and digital releases, for the family-owned Rajshri Productions, which has produced some of Indian cinema's most memorable films.
