Yoga guru Baba Ramdev Sunday said withdrew his controversial remarks against allopathic medicines and its practitioners.
This comes hours after Union health minister Harsh Vardhan asked him to withdraw the remarks.
As per Dr Harsh Vardhan, the way Baba Ramdev withdrew his statements against allopathic medicine is laudable and shows his maturity.
A strongly-worded letter came from the Health Minister. The letter spoke about the people of this country who were extremely hurt by the comments against allopathic medicines, and doctors.
Moreover, the Indian Medical association (IMA) too had sent Ramdev a legal notice over the remark.
It also talks about how Yog guru spoke against allopathy and defaming scientific medicine. On the other hand, the Patanjali Yogpeeth Trust denies any allegations by the IMA that Ramdev has misled people by making unlearned statements against allopathy and defamed scientific medicine.
Earlier also Ramdev had made insensitive remark about those suffering from COVID-19. But later on cleared the air on the same.
