Ramesh Awasthi, the MP from Kanpur, completes his first year in office with a grand celebration. His leadership is marked by significant achievements, including the approval of Kanpur’s first elevated road project. Party workers, senior leaders, and thousands of supporters gathered for a memorable ceremony.

Kanpur’s Member of Parliament (MP) Ramesh Awasthi has completed one year in office. Last year, he made history with a stunning victory from Uttar Pradesh's VIP seat, leaving everyone surprised. Yesterday, he shared his joy with party workers, celebrating the completion of his first year in office. Known for his communication skills, Awasthi, who transitioned from journalism to politics, is celebrated for his effective public relations approach.
On this occasion, a grand ceremony was organized to honor senior workers who have dedicated themselves to the organization and selflessly served the community. The ceremony was graced by the State Vice President and popular legislator Pankaj Singh, who was the chief guest. During the event, Awasthi presented a replica of the BrahMos missile, symbolizing India's strategic power and self-reliance, to Pankaj Singh.
In his address, Pankaj Singh praised Ramesh Awasthi’s remarkable development efforts over the past year. He acknowledged how Awasthi brought the organization together as a family and played an active role in public welfare. He also highlighted India’s economic and military achievements under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, commending Awasthi’s commitment to these goals.
In his speech, Awasthi said, "This year has been about service, dialogue, and resolution. I vowed to restore Kanpur's lost glory, and your support and blessings have been crucial in making this a reality."
A recent achievement that has elevated Awasthi’s popularity is the approval of Kanpur's first elevated road project. This initiative has taken the city’s development to new heights. According to the Detailed Project Report (DPR), ramps will be constructed near Ramadevi, Gol Chauraha, Jareeb Chowki Chauraha, and Tatmil Chauraha to ease the flow of traffic. The project also includes the widening of the Harrisganj Bridge to connect this road to Ghantaghar. Additionally, an elevated road will link Ramadevi Chauraha with the national highway, significantly reducing the travel time for residents to Ahirwan Airport. The project is expected to greatly improve Kanpur’s traffic system, marking a new chapter in the city’s development under Awasthi’s leadership.
During the ceremony, former minister Balchandra Mishra, former MP Satya Dev Pachauri, and several other senior leaders and all division presidents were honored. The presence of thousands of party workers made the event unforgettable, as they all extended their best wishes to Awasthi. The program went on until late at night, symbolizing Awasthi's popularity and his deep connection with the people.
