Retired Soldier Brutally Murders Wife, Dismembers Body, Boils in Pressure Cooker and Dumps in Lake

A shocking incident from Hyderabad, a retired soldier brutally murdered his wife, Venkat Madhavi, after a domestic dispute. The crime, which occurred in the Rangareddy district near Hyderabad, involved the husband, Guru Murthy, dismembering his wife's body and boiling the pieces in a pressure cooker before discarding them in a nearby lake.
Guru Murthy, 45 years old, belonged to Prakasam district, Andhra Pradesh. The man had retired from the army. He was employed as a security guard at DRDO, Hyderabad. He lived with his wife, Venkat Madhavi, 35 years old, and their two children at New Venkateshwara Nagar Colony in Meerpet. Police investigations reveal that the couple used to have frequent domestic arguments.
The Disappearance and Investigation
On January 18, Guru Murthy reported that his wife had disappeared to her family, suggesting she was missing. In response, her family filed a missing person complaint with the Meerpet police. Guru Murthy pretended not to know where Madhavi had gone and gave himself up in search of the missing wife to the police.
However, during the police investigation, authorities began to suspect Guru Murthy. After being interrogated harshly, the retired soldier confessed to murdering his wife following a heated argument. He admitted to dismembering her body, boiling the parts in a pressure cooker, and later discarding them in the lake to cover up the crime.
Arrest and Ongoing Investigation
