RJD's Quirky Take on JDU’s 'Alcohol Party' Amidst Shocking Deaths from Toxic Liquor!

Bihar is in the headlines for all the wrong reasons, and the political drama surrounding the recent spate of alcohol-related deaths is heating up! With 37 casualties linked to poisonous liquor, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is on a mission to hold the ruling Janata Dal (United) or JDU accountable for what they call “unlimited alcohol availability” in the state.

Toxic Tragedy Strikes Again

In a grim turn of events, reports indicate that 28 people have tragically lost their lives in Siwan district's Maghar and Auriya panchayats since October 16, all due to the consumption of illegal liquor. The unfortunate victims add to a mounting death toll that includes individuals from Siwan, Saran, and Gopalganj districts. The ongoing crisis has prompted the suspension of two police officers and the arrest of 21 individuals, including seven women, as authorities scramble to respond to the growing outrage.

RJD's Witty Wordplay on JDU

In a cheeky move, the RJD has taken to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to redefine what JDU really stands for:

J stands for Jahan (where)
D stands for Daroo (liquor)
U stands for Unlimited
The RJD didn't stop there! They posed a rhetorical question that hits hard: “Despite a liquor ban in Bihar, alcohol is readily available in every household. Who’s responsible for these deaths?” The answer? “Nitish Kumar and JDU.”

Government Under Fire

The deaths have sparked a political firestorm, with the RJD accusing the JDU of failing to enforce the liquor ban effectively. The state government, led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, had instituted a complete ban on the sale and consumption of alcohol back in April 2016. Yet, the paradox of rampant illegal alcohol trade continues to haunt the state.

As the situation unfolds, the focus remains on accountability and the pressing need for effective governance in Bihar. The RJD's satirical yet pointed critique of JDU's performance is sure to resonate as the debate over alcohol policy and public safety takes center stage.
