"Roads as Smooth as Priyanka Gandhi's Cheeks": Congress Attacks Ramesh Bidhuri Over Controversial Remark

The controversy flared up when Delhi BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri made a remark about building roads as smooth as Priyanka Gandhi's cheeks during an election campaign. His statement in Kalka Ji spoke ill of the Congress leaders, who termed it derogatory and full of misogynistic mindset.
Controversy Over Ramesh Bidhuri's Statement
Addressing an event, Bidhuri said, "Lalu Yadav claimed he'd make Bihar's roads like Hema Malini's cheeks but failed. I assure you, we'll make Kalka Ji's roads as smooth as Priyanka Gandhi's cheeks, just like we developed roads in Okhla and Sangam Vihar." His comments went viral on social media after that.
Congress Reaction
Pawan Khera and Supriya Shrinate of the Congress attacked the statement.

Pawan Khera: Said that the statement made by Bidhuri is "disgusting" and reflective of the core mentality of the BJP and RSS.

Supriya Shrinate: Called it shameful and stated that the party has created a culture of misogyny. She asked if women leaders in the BJP or even PM Modi will speak against the language.
Shrinate pointed out that BJP leaders, including PM Modi, have a history of making derogatory remarks against women, referring to terms like "mangalsutra" and "mujra." Congress has demanded an apology from Bidhuri, framing his comment as part of a broader issue with BJP's attitude toward women.
