Sadhguru on Pahalgam Attack: Terrorism Aims to Cripple Society With Fear

Renowned spiritual leader and Isha Foundation founder Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev has strongly condemned the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed at least 26 lives, primarily innocent tourists. Expressing deep sorrow and heartfelt condolences, Sadhguru emphasized that terrorism's true intention is not war but to destabilize society through fear.

In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), Sadhguru highlighted, “The purpose of terrorism is not war but to cripple a society with fear. The aim is to spread panic, divide society, derail economic growth, and create lawlessness at every level. If we wish to safeguard the sovereignty of our nation, these elements must be confronted firmly, with a strong resolve.”

Reflecting further, he suggested long-term solutions involving equitable distribution of education, economic opportunities, and social welfare to address the root causes fueling terrorism. He stated, “There are larger, long-term solutions—more equal distribution of education, economic opportunities, wealth, and welfare at all levels.”

In these challenging times, Sadhguru urged citizens to transcend divisions based on religion, caste, or politics, and collectively support security forces. He concluded, “For now, standing together as a nation and supporting our security forces in every way possible is paramount. Our deepest condolences and blessings to all those who have suffered loss and injury.”

His message comes in response to widespread national outrage and sorrow following the brutal attack at the tourist hotspot in Kashmir, drawing unified calls for justice and action.
