Sambhal Violence: Pakistan-Made Cartridges Recovered at Incident Site – Alarming Findings Raise Concerns
A breakthrough has emerged in the ongoing investigation of the Sambhal violence, connecting the incident to Pakistan. On Tuesday, the police unearthed multiple cartridges, which included one manufactured at the Pakistan Ordnance Factory, linking the violence to international origins. The discovery of these cartridges has raised serious concerns about possible cross-border involvement in the violence that occurred in the Kot Garvi neighborhood of Sambhal on November 24.
The forensic team, along with the Municipal Corporation, recovered six cartridges from the drains at the incident site. Among these, one cartridge was identified as being manufactured in Pakistan, and another was traced back to the USA. These cartridges are critical evidence, suggesting that the weapons used during the Sambhal violence may have had international connections. Two shell casings each of 12-bore and 32-bore were recovered while the two cartridges recovered are a 9mm one bearing "POF" on it and another one with "FL with two stars" impressed on it.
This has led the government to take immediate action in the matter. Moradabad's Divisional Commissioner, Aunjaneya Singh, confirmed that the Pakistan-made cartridge was found at the scene, which alerted the security agencies. The police launched an intensive investigation and formed two Special Investigation Teams (SITs) to go deeper into the incident.
It sounds a warning bell to link up to Pakistan, especially when there's cross-border involvement suspected in the violence. Police have now been in close consultation with national investigation agencies, like the NIA, looking for possible terrorist links or criminal networks that might have fueled the violence in Sambhal.
The use of foreign cartridges has surprised law enforcement and residents alike during this violent crime. The authorities are tracing the origin of the weapons, with the initiations now on searches with metal detectors in that area. Investigators are focusing on the background of known criminals with possible ties to terrorism to determine the true nature of this violent act.
This shocking discovery of Pakistan-made cartridges draws attention to the increasing concern regarding security in the region and to a foreign involvement in local violence. As investigations progress, proper steps should be taken to avoid further exacerbation and bring perpetrators of the violence to justice.
