Shakti Kapoor Was the Next Target: Mushtaq Khan's Kidnappers Caught, Reveal Full Story

Bijnor Police in Uttar Pradesh have busted a shocking kidnapping racket involving comedian and actor Mushtaq Khan. Four kidnappers were caught while six others, including the prime accused Lavi Pal, are absconding. The gang lured Mushtaq Khan to an event and kidnapped him, forcing over ₹2 lakh through his mobile's UPI account.

The Kidnapping Plan

On November 20, Mushtaq Khan was kidnapped on his way to an event in Meerut. The kidnappers, disguised as event organizers, hired a cab and intercepted him near Delhi. The actor was taken at gunpoint to a pre-arranged location in Bijnor. Through intimidation, they managed to get his bank details and withdrew ₹2.2 lakh for shopping in Muzaffarnagar and the surrounding areas.

How Police Cracked the Case

Police identified the perpetrators from the CCTV footage of their shopping sprees. Among the arrested suspects are Sarthak Chaudhary, former municipal councilor, who, along with his accomplices, planned the crime. The group further revealed that they had also intended to target other actors including the Bollywood veteran Shakti Kapoor. However, they could not make a success of it since they failed to secure advance payments for the staged event.
