Who is Shishir Kumar, the ADM from Madhepura Accused of Beating Players on Badminton Court?
A shocking incident has surfaced in Madhepura, Bihar wherein Additional District Magistrate, Shishir Kumar Mishra is accused of manhandling badminton players inside an indoor stadium. Viral video clips on social media show how the officer pursued and started beating the young players in the sports hall while the other players watched silently. It is said to have taken place after some players reportedly refused to play with him.
The Incident and the Allegations
It was reported that Shishir Kumar Mishra went to the BP Mandal Indoor Stadium where the players were already taking practice. The ADM supposedly requested them to play a game, but the players agreed that they could not continue since they had practiced for hours. Still, Mishra and his friends allegedly pressured them into playing.

When the other player missed a shot, Mishra reportedly went into a rage and started hitting him with the racket. Another player tried to intervene, but Mishra allegedly assaulted him too, causing neck and arm injuries. Mishra is also accused of threatening the players and breaking their rackets during the fight.
Official Response and Investigation
Mishra, however, denied the allegations saying them to be baseless. He said that the accusations were not true. In response, Madhepura District Magistrate, Tarnajot Singh ordered a proper investigation into the incident. He has instructed officials to submit a detailed report and assured that necessary actions will be taken based on the findings.
Shishir Kumar Mishra is a BAS officer who has been acting as the Additional District Magistrate, Departmental Inquiry, in Madhepura. Other than his departmental work, Mishra is also a nodal officer for sports at the district level. There are several questions that are being asked about his behavior, and his investigation is still on to determine the authenticity of the allegations against him.
