Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah Dismisses Tensions Over MUDA Scam, Calls BJP Allegations False
Mysuru, September 3 — Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah addressed the ongoing MUDA (Mysore Urban Development Authority) scam controversy with a dismissive attitude, stating he feels no tension or anxiety over the matter.
Speaking in Mysuru, Siddaramaiah downplayed the impact of the scam allegations, saying, "I have no tension or anxiety. If you look at me, do I seem like someone who is under stress? The BJP has made numerous baseless claims about me, and now they say I am in tension because of them."
Regarding the suspension of former MUDA Commissioner Dinesh and issues surrounding the 50:50 land allocation ratio dating back to 2009, Siddaramaiah stated that he was not yet informed about the specifics. "I am not aware of the details regarding the 50:50 ratio application. I need to review the order first. I cannot comment on something I do not know," he said, adding that he would address the matter further once he has all the relevant information.
Siddaramaiah also addressed the controversy surrounding RV Deshpande's statement that permission from him was necessary to become Chief Minister. He humorously dismissed the comment, stating, "Who decides who becomes the Chief Minister? It is the legislators and the high command who make that decision. I just laughed off the suggestion that anyone needs my permission to become the CM."
The Chief Minister’s remarks come amid ongoing scrutiny and political debate surrounding the MUDA scam. For more updates on state affairs, click here.
