Sonbhadra: College Students Protest After Detection of Spy Camera in Bathroom, Suspect Arrested by Police
Outrage was flared at a college in Sonbhadra after a student found a hidden camera in the bathroom. The student, named by the police as a minor, had reportedly attached his mobile device with Wi-Fi to connect it. The girls immediately protested against him, accusing the suspect of capturing their photos and videos. These were reportedly deleted before the police arrived.

Sonbhadra: A shocking incident has emerged from Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh. In Robertsganj Kotwali, a ruckus was created by a group of students of a college after discovering a spy camera in the bathroom. On Saturday, it was noticed by a student that a small camera has been fitted in the college's bathroom. When she apprised her teachers, the matter became worse and chaos began in the college. Police were immediately summoned to the spot and a suspected minor was arrested.
The alleged accused had connected the camera to his mobile with Wi-Fi. The police even took both the camera and the mobile phone as evidence. According to reports, the whole incident happened around 3 p.m. in the afternoon on Saturday when a student had walked into the lavatory and found the camera there. After informing the other students and teachers, the whole matter became well-known very soon, and the situation created a hubbub.

The college is a place of study up to 12th standard and it is located within the village where the accused lives. It is reported that the wall of the bathroom adjoins the house of the suspect. At the time of the incident, even the villagers from that locality expressed their ire. The students also accused the accused of clicking photographs and videos of them, which he deleted before the police arrived on the scene.
According to the complaint lodged by the girls, the police have registered a case. In the course of their investigation, the camera has been found to be connected to the suspect's mobile phone. In this case, the police also took away the accused's mobile phone. The case was filed under disturbance of peace against the minor's father. Sources also say inappropriate content was present on the accused's phone; the police have not confirmed this as of yet.
The police station head of Robertsganj, Satendra Rai, assured that the stringent action shall be taken. ASP Kalu Singh claimed that the suspect had mounted the camera inside the bathroom and connected it to his mobile phone. Inquest is under process.
