Stone Pelting During Screening of The Sabarmati Report at JNU, ABVP Makes Allegations

A major commotion took place at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi during a special screening of the film The Sabarmati Report, which stars Vikrant Massey. The screening turned unruly when stones were pelted at the event and created further commotion. A few posters of the film were torn, and pictures were damaged during the incident. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has accused left-wing students of orchestrating the stone-pelting to disrupt the event.
ABVP's Accusations
ABVP says left wing students have been consistently disrupting its events. According to them, stone-pelting today was a follow up of that trend. They further claim that in the last incident that occurred in 2018, wires were cut and some students were reported to have been attacked. The ABVP even further claims that a car ran over the feet of the security guards. The screening was also held at the badminton court, where the stone-throwing incident reportedly took place. According to news reports, the posters of The Sabarmati Report were already torn before the screening began.
