Comedian Sunil Pal's Kidnapper Arjun Karnwal Shot in Police Encounter During Escape Attempt

Arjun Karnwal, who was accused of kidnapping a comedian, Sunil Pal, and an actor, Mushtaq Khan, was shot by Meerut police while trying to flee. The incident happened while Karnwal was on the way to a medical checkup before appearing in the court.

According to the police, the suspect succeeded in snatching a pistol from an officer and tried to flee by firing at the police. However, the vigilant police team swiftly retaliated and shot Karnwal in the leg while attempting to escape.

Karnwal, arrested yesterday on charges of multiple high-profile abductions and extortion cases, was overpowered and taken to hospital immediately. The incident took place in Meerut's Lal Kurti area, where the accused had been detained yesterday.

Police confirmed that Karnwal had been involved in several celebrity abductions, including the abductions of Sunil Pal and Mushtaq Khan, demanding hefty ransoms. His latest attempt to escape was foiled with the quick action of police.
